About me

Who am I?

I am Cornel Tudose from Bucharest, Romania. I am a GIS expert by profession, an autodidact designer by passion and a geographer by academic background. I specialise in web GIS mainly using Open Source software. Recently I have worked as Project Lead for a GIS enabled web portal development project using Open Source tools like:
  • Spatial Database: PostgreSQL and PostGIS
  • Desktop GIS: QGIS
  • Web Map Server:  MapServer
  • Map services: WMS, WFS

Currently I am working as a Lecturer at Faculty of Geography, University of Bucharest, Romania.

In December 2014 I receive GIS Professional (GISP) status granted by GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) who certified my skills, competencies and all my qualifications; certificate #90205
